Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technologist for the St Lukes: South Shore area in Wisconsin. This part-time role covers afternoon/evening shifts (Mon-Fri 14:00–22:30) with weekend/holiday rotation, totaling 20 hours weekly.

You will perform, evaluate and monitor laboratory tests, ensure specimen labeling, and support quality control under established protocols. Certification eligible; ASCP/AMT within 1 year preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences or Medical Technology.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.
• Certification eligible or MT/MLS as per ASCP/AMT within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Performs, evaluates and monitors lab tests per established protocols.
• Evaluates results for clinical significance and notifies accordingly.
• Calibrates and maintains instruments; documents QC/QA activities.
• Ensures proper specimen labeling and timely collection per protocol.
• Provides training and guidance to staff and students as assigned.
• Supports quality/improvement initiatives and regulatory standards.
