Job summary

OhioHealth Laboratory Services seeks a 40-hour-per-week supervisor for the Microbiology department. You will lead technical operations, manage staff, and ensure regulatory compliance while aligning with OhioHealth’s mission and values.

You will oversee workflow, provide training for new associates and students, maintain competency, and act as liaison to resolve operational and technical problems. Prior supervision and ASCP certification are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree is required for the role.
• ASCP certification or equivalent must be obtained within two years of hire.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a patient care or clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• 30% Supervises department operations and HR; resolves technical problems and ensures compliance.
• 25% Oversee workflow, staffing, training documentation and associate records.
• 20% Maintain competency, education requirements, and lead training for new staff.
• 20% Perform duties of associates when needed per manager's direction.
• 5% Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
