Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is an accredited commercial laboratory seeking an Analyst I to perform routine scientific tasks under close supervision. You will follow established SOPs and assist in sample preparation, analysis, and data recording.

Working under qualified supervision, you will handle standard solutions and instrumentation, maintain accurate records, and support administrative functions while upholding safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma; plus, two years of related experience or a bachelor's degree.
• Basic knowledge of principles, terminology, practices and instrumentation commonly used in a laboratory setting.
• Ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal formats

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs and accrediting body requirements; prepare and process samples.
• Prepare standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analyses.
• Utilize laboratory equipment and instrumentation to process and analyze samples.
• Perform equipment set-up and record observations and data accurately.
• Maintain logs, notebooks and equipment records for peer review and compliance.
• Enter data into computerized LIMS and perform basic administrative duties
