Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is hiring an Analyst I to perform routine scientific tasks under close supervision in our Lenexa, KS laboratory. The role focuses on sample prep, analysis, data recording, and supporting accreditation requirements.

You will work with established SOPs, engage with laboratory instrumentation, and contribute to safety and quality programs while gaining hands-on experience in a premier commercial testing facility.

Qualifications

• Must have basic knowledge of laboratory principles, terminology, practices and instrumentation.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines, including rush orders.
• Ability to work with delicate laboratory equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and process samples according to SOPs and accreditation requirements.
• Prepare standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analyses.
• Operate and set up specialized laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Record observations and data accurately; perform basic data interpretation.
• Maintain logs, notebooks, and equipment records; ensure data integrity.
• Assist with backlog management and routine administrative tasks in the lab.
• Support potential duties of Technical Manager or Study Manager as needed.
• Adhere to Safety and Quality programs and pursue continuous improvement.
