Job summary

Microbac Laboratories, Inc. is seeking an Analyst I to perform routine scientific tasks in a certified commercial laboratory under close supervision.

You will receive detailed instructions and contribute to analytical testing supporting clients across life science, food and environmental sectors. The role involves following SOPs, preparing samples and standards, operating instruments, recording data, and ensuring accurate logs and compliance with safety and quality programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher needed; two years related experience or a bachelor's degree.
• Basic knowledge of laboratory principles, terminology, and instrumentation.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow established SOPs and accreditation requirements to prepare and process samples.
• Prepare standards, solutions, reagents, media, and samples for analyses.
• Operate and set up laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Record observations and data accurately; maintain logs and notebooks.
• Enter data into the LIMS and perform basic data reviews.
• Assist with safety, quality programs and administrative duties as needed.
