Job summary

Sysco South Florida, Inc. is seeking a Materials Handling Equipment Technician II to support MHE maintenance activities and battery upkeep at our Miami distribution facility.

The role involves performing preventive maintenance, minor electrical and hydraulic tasks, and assisting with battery charging and repairs while following all safety rules. You will work with a team, maintain records in the CMMS, and contribute to a safe, efficient operation with on-site schedules including evenings or

Qualifications

• Four years in an MHE maintenance position; or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Must possess a valid state Driver's License and provide proof of liability coverage.
• Powered Industrial Equipment Certification from Sysco within 3 months.
• MHE 8 hour maintenance tech certificate from MHE manufacturer (IE: Crown, Raymond, Hyster, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate understanding and adherence to safety policies and procedures.
• Maintain and repair MHE including preventive maintenance (PM) per manufacturers’ recommendations.
• Assist battery technicians with charger repairs, battery changes, and related maintenance tasks.
• Log time and materials daily into the CMMS via work orders and PMs.
• Ensure housekeeping and safe operation of tools and equipment.
