Job summary

PlainsCapital Bank invites an experienced Merchant Services Representative to drive new merchant services business, expand existing relationships, and service customers focused on payment processing. You will act as the main point of contact for merchants and provide basic advisory services, with a focus on sales.

Key responsibilities include generating leads, presenting proposals, and maintaining detailed records, while staying informed on compliance and risk issues.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of B2B sales experience or an equivalent degree.
• Experience in merchant services or banking preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Self-motivated with ability to develop new business.

Responsibilities

• Generates sales calls and leads with merchants to sell and support credit card processing.
• Communicates clearly across multiple platforms.
• Develops and maintains proficiency in payment processing and terminal setup.
• Analyzes merchant statements to determine pricing options and guidance.
• Prepares, delivers, and presents proposals to merchants.
• Maintains detailed records, reports, and logs of merchant referrals.
• Keeps knowledge of compliance and risk issues up to date.
• Answers questions regarding merchant services from customers and internal contacts.
• Assumes additional responsibilities as required.
