Job summary

FLEX Payment Solutions is seeking an Onboarding Specialist to guide new Merchants from application through activation. You can work from the Fenton, MO office or remotely, reporting to the Director of Compliance.

You’ll coordinate documentation, review for completeness, and collaborate with underwriting, sponsor banks, and sales to keep process flowing, with a focus on accuracy and timely updates. This role emphasizes process improvement and data-driven decisions to reduce bottlenecks and

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Merchant onboarding or related fintech roles.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for internal teams and merchants.
• Experience working in a CRM environment.
• Ability to handle multiple applications and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Explain the application process and why docs matter.
• Collect and review merchant documentation for completeness.
• Resolve questions with Merchants, Underwriting, and Sponsor Banks.
• Provide daily status updates to Sales, Risk, and Management.
• Own open pre-Underwriting tickets and track metrics like Time-to-Approved.
• Identify bottlenecks and design improved onboarding processes.
