Job summary

Visa is seeking an Analyst, U.S. Merchant Business Development to support the growth and management of Visa's Light Touch Merchant Portfolio, ~300 merchant relationships across industries.

The role partners with the Senior Director to strengthen merchant relationships, identify sales opportunities, expand Visa's footprint, and improve portfolio coverage through scalable outreach and data-driven strategies. Travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• 3+ years in sales, business development, account management or related functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support growth and management of ~300 merchant accounts.
• Outreach communications to generate opportunities and maintain visibility.
• Draft and distribute merchant-facing communications and campaigns.
• Maintain merchant contact databases and identify replacement contacts.
• Identify new contacts and decision-makers aligned with strategic priorities.
• Research new merchants for portfolio inclusion based on intelligence.
• Track engagement, outreach, opportunity status and portfolio metrics.
• Collaborate with product/marketing/risk/co-brand teams to support client initiatives.
• Monitor merchants for signals related to debit routing, VIK, data solutions, and services.
• Develop a structured pipeline and recommend next steps.
• Travel up to 10% as needed.
