Job summary

HungryPanda Ltd 熊猫外卖 is seeking a proactive Merchant Acquisition Specialist in New York, to recruit merchants, conduct in-person visits, and build strong partnerships that drive onboarding and growth in GMV.

You will maintain ongoing merchant relationships, coordinate promotions with Marketing, and manage merchant data to ensure smooth operations and accurate information. English is a plus for cross-border collaboration.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Mandarin Chinese is required; proficiency in English is a plus.
• Experience in B2B sales, merchant acquisition, or offline business development is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with food delivery, local retail, or internet platform operations is a strong advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills; able to build trust with business owners.
• Independent and able to manage field visits efficiently and close deals under pressure.
• Highly organized with time management and project coordination abilities.
• Team player capable of working cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Product teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify and recruit potential merchants to join the platform, presenting offerings to drive onboarding and partnerships.
• Conduct frequent in-person visits to merchants to pitch cooperation, negotiate partnerships, and complete onboarding.
• Maintain long-term merchant relationships with regular support and visits to address operational concerns.
• Collaborate with onboarded merchants to develop platform strategies, optimize performance, and grow GMV.
• Plan and coordinate promotional campaigns with Marketing to increase merchant exposure and transactions.
• Update merchant backend data and settings to ensure smooth operations and accurate info.
• Monitor market trends, collect merchant feedback, and provide insights for product improvements.
