Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) in New York. Trainees gain hands-on experience across merchandising departments and learn Manager on Duty duties while developing leadership, customer service, and store-operations skills.

Participants will complete a comprehensive training program covering operations, sales & profitability, and company policies, with mentorship and performance feedback throughout the process.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of work experience.
• Minimum 3 years of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates to drive customer service and engagement.
• Perform opening/closing duties and ensure SOP compliance.
• Enforce safety and hazmat procedures and keep safety guidelines.
• Plan merchandise placement and manage inventory and stock integrity.
• Engage in a structured training program for retail store management, including staffing and performance processes.
