Job summary

The Home Depot in Union, NJ is offering a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) program. This role provides hands-on experience across merchandising, operations, safety, sales, and a structured leadership training path toward an Assistant Manager position.

You will learn to oversee Garden, Hardware, Lumber, Building Materials, Plumbing, and Electrical departments, focusing on customer service, product availability, and store presentation while preparing for store management

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• 15% - Customer Experience: supervise associates, drive customer service and engagement.
• 10% - Operations Management: opening/closing MOD, enforce SOPs and safety compliance.
• 10% - Safety: ensure safety and hazmat procedures are followed.
• 15% - Sales and Productivity: plan merchandise placement and inventory management.
• 50% - Training: participate in structured training for retail store management, staffing, stock, and performance processes.
