Job summary

The Home Depot in the United States is offering a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) program. The MASM-IT will gain hands-on experience across merchandising departments, learning to lead by example and to execute key store programs that boost sales, product availability and presentation.

During a training period of up to 6 weeks, participants will work with Store Managers, ASMs and merchandising teams to develop actionable plans for department success and ongoing store

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Customer Experience: Supervising associates in the selling effort and leading GET culture; drive customer service and engagement.
• Operations Management: Open/close MOD and other store-wide responsibilities; enforce policies and SOPs; maintain safety and shrink controls.
• Safety: Ensure self and associates follow safety and hazmat procedures and Safety Matters guidelines.
• Sales and Productivity: Plan merchandise placement, signing and stock integrity; manage equipment and daily financial ops.
• Training and Preparing for Assistant Manager Position: Participate in a structured training program covering store management aspects; complete all training modules and assessments.
