Job summary

The Home Depot is offering a Merchandising Assistant Store Manager in Training (MASM-IT) program in New Jersey. This hands-on training covers store operations, customer service, merchandising, and profitability strategies under the guidance of experienced Store Managers.

During the 6-week training, MASMs in Training will learn to supervise departments, drive sales, maintain product availability, and lead by example while upholding company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1 year of work experience; 3 years of leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates in selling efforts and uphold customer service standards.
• Coordinate store operations including opening/closing duties and SOP adherence.
• Promote safety compliance and hazmat procedures.
• Plan merchandise placement and manage inventory accuracy with ASMs in training.
• Participate in a structured training program for store management leadership.
