Job summary

Burlington Stores in McAllen, TX is seeking a Merchandising Manager to lead daily store operations, maintain the selling floor, and ensure a WOW shopping experience for customers. You will model leadership, develop teams, and drive results across merchandising and floor management functions.

The role requires strong retail leadership, ability to manage multiple tasks, and effective collaboration with district and regional leaders.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Retail Management experience at an Off Price, Big Box, or similar multi-unit retailer.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Experience using scheduling and reporting computer software.
• Experience with fashion apparel merchandising is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the store’s sales performance daily using available reports.
• Guide the Selling Floor Supervisor and receiving team to speed merchandise flow.
• Coordinate promotions, floor sets, and ensure accurate pricing.
• Oversee floor moves, displays, and presentations per merchandising guidelines.
• Support the Store Manager on merchandising issues and best practices.
• Act as MOD to lead customers and staff and drive results.
• Assist with staffing, sourcing, interviewing, training, and succession planning.
• Communicate with District and Regional Management.
