Job summary

You’ll engage peers to deliver the best possible shopping experience, mentor and coach staff, assist with scheduling and training, and uphold Meijer standards for customer service, freshness, safety, and store profitability.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage peers to provide the best possible shopping experience for our customers including an exceptional checkout experience.
• Communicate with team members and assign daily work tasks.
• Mentor and coach team members to ensure customer service and sales goals are exceeded.
• Assist with training and cross-training to boost productivity and Meijer standards.
• Support scheduling to improve customer service, store sales, and profitability.
• Ensure freshness and proper rotation of products in the department.
• Uphold food safety standards and safe working practices.
• Lead by example in applying Meijer culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
