Job summary

Harps is seeking a General Merchandise Manager to oversee the general merchandise department operations, staffing, pricing, inventory, and store presentation. You will lead replenishment, merchandising standards, and customer service initiatives to ensure operating excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience in general merchandise preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and written skills.
• Ability to manage effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to move merchandise up to 60 pounds.
• Willingness to comply with safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• General Merchandise Department Operations – readiness, staffing, supervision, price maintenance, policies and procedures, inventory preparation.
• Manage replenishment and inventory processes including ordering, receiving, invoicing and returns.
• Oversee merchandising and sales floor standards, stocking, displays, signing, and overall department procedures.
• Demonstrate adaptability, coaching, conflict resolution, problem solving, safety/quality orientation.
• Build relationships and model professional behavior to support Harps’ mission.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and hospitality in all interactions.
