Job summary

Westat is seeking Field Interviewers for the MEPS program to conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adults in households across the U.S. The role requires traveling to training in January 2027 and possible overnight travel, with two data collection periods each year.

Part-time, with a flexible schedule and 20 hours per week when available. Responsibilities include setting appointments, conducting interviews, submitting paperwork, and transmitting data daily.

Qualifications

• Be 18 or older with ability to sign confidentiality agreements.
• Available to complete required online trainings and in-person training before start.
• Able to travel for mandatory training and field work within specified dates.
• Willing to work at least 20 hours per week, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and computer-assisted interviews with adult respondents.
• Coordinate with households to schedule and complete interviews; transmit data daily.
• Travel to local and occasional long-distance households; some overnight travel may be required.
• Maintain data security and confidentiality per Westat requirements.
