Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking an MEP Superintendent II for the North Texas Division. The role focuses on leading MEP coordination, reviewing shop drawings, and ensuring project compliance with codes and safety standards.

The position requires extensive field experience, supervisory ability, and strong collaboration with owners, architects, and subcontractors. We offer an ESOP-based ownership culture and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial construction field experience, including direct supervisory and MEP experience.
• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or relevant discipline preferred.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required.

Responsibilities

• Plans and estimates construction scope, materials, and manpower for each phase.
• Serves as a technical resource with owners and architects on MEP systems.
• Attends meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors to outline work and schedule.
• Ensures shop drawings are submitted timely and coordinate between subs to reduce errors.
• Checks shop drawings for ductwork, piping, raceways, and switchgear layouts for code compliance.
• Directs daily/weekly activities for each craft and clarifies methods and resources.
• Guides field teams and assists PM with change order estimation as needed.
• Ensures compliance with laws, policies, and safety responsibilities; oversees health and safety of employee-owners.
