Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking an MEP Superintendent II for its North Texas Division. You will lead mechanical and electrical coordination, review shop drawings, and manage field operations on complex commercial projects.

The role requires strong leadership, 8+ years of large-scale construction experience, and proficiency in reading plans and specs. The position is full-time, on-site in North Texas, with comprehensive benefits and ESOP participation.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or relevant discipline preferred, or equivalent combo of education and experience
• 8+ years of commercial construction field experience with direct supervision and MEP
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training required

Responsibilities

• Begin work on projects early, evaluate design complexity and estimate costs
• Serve as technical resource in meetings with owners and architects
• Attend weekly meetings with owners and subcontractors and coordinate work
• Ensure timely submission and evaluation of shop drawings
• Coordinate MEP shop drawings and verify code compliance
• Provide technical guidance to resolve construction problems
• Assist PM with estimating change orders
• Ensure compliance with laws, codes, and safety requirements
• Maintain daily job diaries documenting field activity
