Job summary

Austin Commercial is seeking an MEP Manager I for the North Texas Division to oversee electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and life-safety systems on projects. You will coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors, review shop drawings, and ensure constructability and schedule alignment.

This role requires leading high-performing teams, QA/QC of installations, code compliance, and effective liaison with city inspectors to deliver on-time equipment and projects.

Qualifications

• B.S. in construction management/science, engineering, or related field.
• 5-8 years of MEP experience with a GC or mechanical contractor.
• OSHA 30-Hour Construction Industry Outreach Training (may obtain within first year).
• Proficient in project management software.
• Proficient with cost projection, scheduling, financial analysis, budget reviews and labor reports.
• Ability to build and manage high performing teams.

Responsibilities

• MEP coordination, space management, constructability studies.
• Review of subcontractor submittals and change pricing.
• Compliance with building codes and relations with city inspectors.
• Attend meetings with owners, architects, and subcontractors; outline work and schedule.
• Ensure timely shop drawings and on-time equipment delivery.
• QA/QC of mechanical and electrical installations and life safety systems.
• Coordinate shop drawings between subcontractors and disciplines.
• Liaise between owners, architects, general contractors and disciplines.
