Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent I & II to lead coordination and supervision of MEP scopes on data center projects in the McAllen area. Candidates should have strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills to manage field coordination with project teams and stakeholders.

The role offers two levels based on experience, with base pay ranges published for each level. Mortenson emphasizes integrity, safety, and collaboration in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include 8+ years in construction with 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Experience with mechanical or electrical contracting is preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple, complex data center projects and coordinate with design teams.
• Strong communication and customer service skills; familiarity with construction law and standard practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work.
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Review and understand contract documents.
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
• Develop project schedules and three/five-week look-ahead schedules.
• Develop a site logistics plan.
• Utilize Mortenson tools and equipment effectively.
• Collaborate with partner superintendents.
