Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead coordination and supervision of MEP scopes, ensuring project alignment and constructability. The role involves interfacing with design teams, project staff, and customers to maintain schedule integrity on data center projects.

The position requires strong communication, planning, and problem-solving skills, with a focus on safety, quality, and service delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two years supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
• Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies; equal employment opportunity awareness
• Current driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
