Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent II to review, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project teams. Strong communication, flexibility, and integrity are essential to success on this role, with responsibilities spanning coordination of MEP scopes, scheduling, documentation review, and cross-functional collaboration across design and field teams.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
