Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to oversee coordination and management of field coordination with project teams. The role emphasizes communication, integrity, and confidentiality in a dynamic environment.

The candidate will lead planning, scheduling, and coordination for MEP scopes, review documents for constructability, and collaborate with design engineers and partner superintendents across complex data center projects.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data centerprojects
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback

• Current driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
