Job summary

Mortenson Construction seeks an experienced MEP Superintendent II to review, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project teams and participants. Strong communication, flexibility, and integrity are essential to succeed in a dynamic environment.

The role emphasizes coordinating MEP scopes, reviewing documents, and maintaining schedules, with a focus on data center projects and collaboration with design engineers and partner superintendents.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural/Mechanical/Electrical fields or 10 years of trade experience.
• Minimum 10 years of construction experience with two years supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
• Detail oriented sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
• Positive and professional attitude with strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and affirmative Action plans and their intended use.
• Current driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work.
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service.
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule.
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability.
• Review and understand contract documents.
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies.
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules.
• Develop a site logistics plan.
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents.
