Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to review, analyze, manage, and resolve field coordination issues with project team members. Excellent communication, adaptability, and integrity are essential for success in a dynamic environment.

The role requires coordinating MEP scopes, planning to support schedules, and reviewing docs for constructability. A strong customer-service orientation and ability to work with diverse teams are expected.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience.
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks.
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices.
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level.
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies.
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback.

• Current driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look-ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
