Job summary

Mortenson is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent II to review, analyze, and manage field coordination issues with project team members. You will interact with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment, requiring flexibility, inventiveness, and discretion to maintain integrity and confidentiality.

The role involves coordinating MEP scopes, planning schedules including look-ahead, reviewing construction documents and contracts, and collaborating with design engineers and partner

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Construction, Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or 10 years of trade experience.
• Minimum 10 years construction experience with at least two years supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor.
• Minimum 15 years of construction experience.
• Ability to fulfill responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects.
• Detail-oriented and capable of organizing multiple tasks.
• Understanding of construction law and standard business practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Positive, professional attitude and strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look‑ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
