Job summary

Mortenson Construction is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent I & II to review, analyze, and resolve field coordination issues with project teams. The role requires flexibility, integrity, and the ability to work with staff at all levels in a dynamic environment.

The position offers two levels, with base pay ranges specified per level; compensation depends on experience and location. Visa sponsorship is not offered, and the posting remains open for a typical duration.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor's degree in construction, Civil, or Architectural, Mechanical, and/or Electrical Engineering or 10 years trade experience
• Minimum 8 years of construction experience with two of those years having supervisory experience, preferably with a Mechanical or Electrical Contractor
• Ability to fulfill all responsibilities for multiple, complex data center projects
• Detail orientation sufficient to organize and manage multiple project tasks
• Basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practices
• Microsoft Office skills at an intermediate level
• Positive and professional attitude, and strong customer service skills
• Ability to interpret and communicate Mortenson policies
• Active listening skills and effective communication including openness to diverse input and feedback

• Current driver's license

Responsibilities

• Provide coordination, planning, and supervision for MEP scopes of work
• Develop and enhance customer relationships by providing excellent service
• Plan and implement to ensure materials, equipment, and inspections support the project schedule
• Review construction documents for completeness and constructability
• Review and understand contract documents
• Coordinate plans and specifications with design engineers, resolving discrepancies
• Participate in the development and management of project schedules, including three and six-week look‑ahead schedules
• Develop a site logistics plan
• Manage the utilization of Mortenson tools and equipment
• Collaborate with project partner superintendents
