Job summary

Batchelor & Kimball, a leading mechanical contractor, seeks a seasoned Project Manager to steer pre-construction, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontracting efforts. You will oversee profitability, collaborate with engineers and architects, and drive cost controls across multi-million dollar projects.

The role requires strong leadership, superb communication, and the ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 10+ years experience in construction.
• 5+ years leading projects up to $15M in scope.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Manage the pre-construction, preplanning, and scheduling process.
• Review and approve project budgets (labor, material, and subcontractors) to determine resource allocation.
• Negotiate and create subcontractor contracts with external vendors.
• Manage project finances including profitability and cash flow.
• Accountable for overall profitability and cost to complete against bid.
• Lead design coordination with engineers and architects to resolve specifications.
• Lead submittals, RFI, and change order processes; implement monthly cost reports.
• Identify construction means, methods, and timelines; evaluate options.
