Job summary

Stantec in Albany, NY is seeking a CAD/BIM Drafter with a focus on MEP to collaborate with design engineers, produce drawings from sketches, set up Revit MEP projects, and develop construction documents under supervision.

You will work with field teams, manage files, attend coordination meetings, and demonstrate knowledge of CAD/BIM platforms, with an associate degree and at least two years of mechanical drafting experience.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical or associate’s degree in CAD/Construction Technology, Mechanical Technology, or similar with knowledge of CAD/BIM; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum two years of experience in mechanical drafting.

Responsibilities

• Produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings and electronic images.
• Set up new Revit MEP projects based on templates.
• Develop construction documentation under supervision using Revit MEP.
• Create detailed field installation and fabrication drawings.
• Manage files including posting models, updates, links, and versioning.
• Provide technical support for existing projects and field service.
• Attend coordination meetings and communicate with trades.
