Job summary

The DREAM Program seeks a Mentor & Strategic Development Coordinator for a hybrid AmeriCorps service term. The role blends direct youth mentoring with internal systems improvement to expand access and improve program quality.

You will recruit and train volunteer mentors, support the Village Mentoring model, and collaborate with Youth Services Managers to tailor mentoring approaches. The program emphasizes DEI and equitable practices across diverse communities.

• Experience in diverse, inclusive environments with awareness of social equity and justice.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and processes.
• Research, recommend, and implement new software solutions to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless system integration.
• Monitor and evaluate program processes for improvement.
• Develop tools and guidelines to facilitate operations discussions.
• Recruit, train, and support volunteer mentors from college campuses.
• Ensure mentors understand and implement the Village Mentoring model.
• Collaborate with Youth Services Managers to assess mentee needs.
• Build strong relationships with mentors, mentees, and staff.
• Support mentor retention, onboarding, and transitions.
• Assist with compliance processes (background checks, paperwork).
• Attend Village Mentoring sessions and related activities.
