Job summary

The DREAM Program is seeking a part-time Mentor Coordinator to support Village Mentoring and youth services. You will work 10–15 hours weekly in late afternoons and evenings, coordinating with campus partners, training mentors, and fostering a safe, inclusive environment for youth and volunteers.

Compensation includes a biweekly living stipend of $309 pre-tax, and eligibility for the Segal Education Award upon term completion, plus mileage reimbursement for travel related to program activities.

Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
  • Be at least 17 years old at commencement of service or an out-of-school youth 16+ participating in a program.
  • Commitment to service for the entire term and to DREAM’s mission.
  • Desire to support youth development and work with diverse communities.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure volunteer mentors understand the Village Mentoring model and their responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with Regional Director for mentee needs assessments and partnerships.
  • Provide resources and training to mentors for a high-quality experience.
  • Build relationships with mentors and mentees and support chapter growth.
  • Support recruitment, preparation for mentees graduating mentors, and background checks compliance.
