Job summary

The DREAM Program in the United States seeks a part-time Mentor Coordinator to support Youth Service Managers, recruit and train volunteer mentors, and foster strong Village Mentoring chapters with a 1:1 mentor/mentee ratio.

The AmeriCorps term runs Oct. 12, 2026 through May 9, 2027, offering a biweekly living stipend of $309 pre-tax, plus access to the Segal Education Award after completion and additional program support and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Be at least 17 years old at commencement of service or 16 if an out-of-school youth.
• Consent to required background checks (NSOPW, state checks, FBI fingerprint checks).
• Commitment to the entire service term and DREAM mission.
• Desire to support diverse communities with inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with program directors, mentors, and mentees.
• Serve 10–15 hours per week in late afternoons/evenings and some weekends.
• Attend weekly Village Mentoring program and regular team meetings.
• Provide training resources to mentors and ensure 1:1 mentor/mentee ratios.
• Support chapter growth, recruitment, and compliance with youth documents.
