Job summary

The DREAM Program, Inc. seeks a part-time Mentor Coordinator to support Youth Service Managers, recruit and train volunteer mentors, and ensure high-quality mentoring for mentees in the Village Mentoring and Afterschool program.

You will work 10–15 hours per week, primarily in the late afternoons and some weekends, with regular meetings and weekly interactions with mentors and the regional office team.

Qualifications

• Must be a citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the U.S.A. due to AmeriCorps requirements.
• Be at least 17 years of age at start or 16 if an out-of-school youth in program.
• Criminal history checks and government ID verification.
• Commitment to the entire service term.
• Commitment to DREAM mission and diversity, equity, inclusion.

Responsibilities

• Ensure volunteer mentors understand the Village Mentoring and Afterschool model and their mentor role.
• Coordinate with Youth Services Manager for mentee needs assessments and partnerships.
• Provide mentors with resources and training for high-quality mentoring.
• Build relationships with every mentor and mentee in the chapter.
• Support chapter wellness through recruitment, training, and compliance.
