Job summary

The DREAM Program in Vermont seeks Mentor Coordinators to support the Program Director with training, recruiting, and mentoring volunteers for the Village Mentoring program. You will help ensure mentors understand their roles and collaborate with the community to provide holistic support for mentees.

This AmeriCorps role emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, with an annual term and a 6–12 hour weekly schedule that may include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the USA per AmeriCorps requirements.
• Be at least 17 years old at the start of service (or 16 for out-of-school youth in program).
• Agree to NSOPW, state checks, and FBI fingerprint-based background checks; identity verified with photo ID.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with mentors and mentees in the chapter.
• Work with Program Director to assess mentee needs and support partnerships.
• Provide mentors with training resources for a high-quality mentoring experience.
• Attend weekly Village Mentoring program and maintain regular communication with the team.
• Commit to serving for the full academic year and meet 6–12 hours weekly including some weekends.
