Job summary

University of La Verne seeks a U.S. Dream Academy Mentor Assistant (26/27) for the FWS program. The role supports youth mentoring, data entry, mentor recruitment, and community engagement. Starting pay is $23.00 per hour.

Part-time with hours Mon-Fri, 9am–5pm, plus possible remote work on Mondays and Tuesdays. Must be a ULV student with Federal Work Study eligibility. Candidates will assist with mentor matching, attendance tracking, and program reporting, while using Zoom/Google Meet for virtual

Qualifications

• Must be a current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2026-2027 academic year.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Takes initiative and a self-starter.

Responsibilities

• Recruitment and screening of mentors and onboarding of virtual mentors.
• Host information sessions, recruitment events, and group interviews.
• Assist with virtual application and screening process for mentors.
• Support mentor-mentee matching and session facilitation.
• Track mentor engagement and maintain attendance records.
• Contribute to quarterly reports on program progress.
• Use Zoom, Google Meet, and other platforms to facilitate virtual mentoring.
• Manage digital tools for recruitment, communication, and data tracking.
