Job summary

HealthPartners is hiring a Health Unit Coordinator for the NE6 Inpatient Mental Health unit in Saint Paul, MN. The role supports nursing staff, greets patients and families, and coordinates unit operations with professionalism and compassion.

You will manage records, assist with data entry into the EMR, and serve as a liaison across hospital departments. This is a part-time 0.5 FTE position requiring strong organization and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year clerical or healthcare experience or recent graduate of a clerical/healthcare training program
• Excellent customer service skills and patience in responding to questions from patients and families
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and coworkers
• Proficient computer skills and familiarity with office equipment

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact on the unit and provide exceptional customer service to patients and visitors
• Organize and maintain unit supplies and patient records
• Enter data into the electronic medical record and communicate between staff, patients, families, and other hospital departments
• Support nursing staff and coordinate information across the unit under supervision of the nurse manager/charge nurse
