Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) to provide organizational, receptionist, and clerical support to patient care units. The role includes monitoring supplies, assisting with orders to the electronic medical record, and effective communication with patients, visitors, and the care team.

The position is nonexempt, part-time, with a 12 Hour Day schedule and 48 hours per pay period. Compensation ranges from $22.12 to $31.21 per hour, with eligibility for benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college/HUC program or certification preferred.
• Outstanding customer service, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Able to adapt to unpredictable patient-care settings.
• Availability to work flexible hours including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide organizational, receptionist and clerical support to patient care units and the health care team.
• Monitor and order supplies and assist with transcribing orders to the EMR and other devices.
• Communicate effectively with patients, visitors and facility staff across the continuum of care.
• Serve as a resource to the care team and participate in continuous improvement activities.
