Job summary

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Health Unit Coordinator to join our Inpatient Float Pool. The role supports unit nursing staff, coordinates patient care, provides information to patients and families, and helps secure resources to ensure smooth operations and a positive patient experience.

The schedule is 0.7 FTE with straight day shifts and every other weekend. Preferred qualifications include a High School diploma, completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program, and prior customer service

Qualifications

• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator program preferred.
• Previous customer service experience, medical terminology and keyboarding skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The Health Unit Coordinator serves as a resource for unit nursing staff, allied health departments, medical staff, patients, and visitors by assisting with patient care coordination, providing information, giving direction, securing assistance and resources, and troubleshooting. This is done in a manner, which reflects the vision, mission, and philosophy of nursing and Park Nicollet Health Services. The Health Unit Coordinator is expected to provide exceptional customer service.

Work Schedule:

0.7 FTE, Straight Day 8-hour shifts & every other weekend

Preferred Qualifications:
