Job summary

Regions Hospital in Saint Paul, MN is seeking a friendly Health Unit Coordinator for the NE6 Inpatient Mental Health unit. You will support nursing staff, organize patient records, enter data into the electronic system, and greet patients and families with professionalism.

This 0.5 FTE Day/Evening role may involve weekends and holidays. Ideal candidates have clerical or healthcare experience, strong computer skills, knowledge of medical terminology, and a commitment to patient-centered care

Qualifications

• Minimum of clerical or healthcare experience.
• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator or related program preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills and data entry ability.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact on the unit for patients and visitors.
• Organize and maintain patient records and unit supplies.
• Perform data entry into the electronic medical record system.
• Provide information and support to staff, patients, families, and care providers.
