Job summary

Regions Hospital in Minnesota seeks a friendly Health Unit Coordinator for the General Med Surgery unit. You will support nursing staff, greet patients, and manage unit clerical duties on a 28-hour weekly schedule.

You will handle patient records, data entry in the electronic health system, and act as a liaison between staff, patients, families, and other departments. Training on the EHR will be provided.

Qualifications

• Clerical/healthcare experience preferred (1+ year).
• Completion of a Health Unit Coordinator or related program.
• Experience using electronic medical records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and visitors, provide exceptional customer service.
• Organize and maintain unit supplies and patient records.
• Enter data into electronic health records with accuracy.
• Liaise between staff, patients, families, and other departments.
