Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking a Studio Practice Leader for Mental & Behavioral Health to oversee the studio's design and delivery across multiple projects.

You will manage teams, mentor designers, and collaborate with other leaders to ensure high-quality documentation and client satisfaction. The role focuses on strategic planning, relationship-building, and growing leadership capabilities while delivering outstanding health projects across multiple clients and locations including New York.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field; years in education or experience may apply.
• Licensure or certification in the chosen field is preferred.
• Typically 15+ years of experience with leadership in project work and talent/resource development.
• Significant experience in planning/design of mental and behavioral health facilities and related sensitive environments.
• Sustainable design accreditation preferred; familiarity with Vision and design software beneficial.
• Strong presentation, leadership, and relationship-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects assigned to the core studio, focusing on process, delivery, environment and documentation.
• Collaborate in strategic planning and allocate resources for practice growth.
• Partner with studios to advance firm-wide strategic goals and client relationships.
• Lead the design process from programming through construction, guiding teams.
