Job summary

HKS, Inc. seeks a Mental & Behavioral Health Studio Practice Leader to manage the studio and multiple project teams delivering design solutions for health facilities.

You’ll drive strategy, lead client relationships and mentor designers while ensuring high-quality documentation and on-time delivery. Preferred candidates have extensive leadership experience in design firms, strong collaboration skills, and a proven track record in growing teams and client networks.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
• Licensure or certification in chosen field preferred.
• Minimum 15+ years in architecture/design leadership with project and talent management.
• Subject matter expertise in mental and behavioral health facilities design.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects for the studio, focusing on delivery, documentation and team environment
• Collaborate on strategic planning and allocate resources as needed
• Lead client relationships and coordinate with project leadership
• Mentor designers and guide design direction across all project phases
• Interface with clients to understand goals and communicate progress
• Manage staffing, utilization and growth within the studio
