Job summary

HKS, Inc. is seeking a Mental & Behavioral Health Studio Practice Leader to oversee the studio’s projects and teams, driving design excellence and client satisfaction. You will manage multiple projects across clients, guide resources, and shape strategy with senior leaders.

The role emphasizes leadership development, relationship building and collaboration while delivering high-quality documentation and solutions for health facilities.

Qualifications

• Accredited professional degree in architecture or related field.
• Typically 15+ years of experience with leadership and talent development.
• Subject matter expertise in planning/design of mental & behavioral health facilities.
• Sustainable design knowledge and familiarity with design-related software.
• Strong presentation, leadership, organization and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees projects in the studio focusing on process, delivery and documentation.
• Collaborates on strategic planning and resource allocation with studio leadership.
• Partners with studios to advance firm-wide strategic goals and client relationships.
• Leads programming, conceptual design and development through construction.
• Mentors designers, guides design direction and leads critiques.
