Job summary

Northeast Health Services in Hyannis, part of Transformations Care Network, seeks a Prescriber Medical Administrative Assistant (Medical Assistant) to support clinicians and patients.

You will answer calls, assist with telehealth portals, schedule, manage prior authorizations, and document in the EMR while protecting patient privacy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; detail-oriented with strong time management.
• Must possess excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
• Experience in medical office or call center preferred and HIPAA familiarity.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience with EMR and medical terminology preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient calls with professional, compassionate service.
• Assist with scheduling, portal navigation, and patient education.
• Process prior authorizations and coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Document in EMR accurately and timely.
• Support clinicians and prescribers with administrative tasks.
• Maintain patient confidentiality per HIPAA.
