Position Description

This is a responsible professional position at the Bell CountyJail in Belton, TX. Specific duties include testing,psychological evaluation, and diagnostic services, as well ascounseling an assigned patient caseload. This position functionsunder the supervision of a higher-level licensed psychologist orpsychiatrist, but the individual has full professionalresponsibility for higher actions and advice.

Major/Essential Functions

• Mental health screening and assessment: Completes timely andclinically sound mental health screenings and assessments usingapproved tools.
• Manage patient caseload: Effectively manages an assignedcaseload by providing consistent clinical contact, monitoringprogress, and updating treatment plans as needed.
• Facilitate counseling sessions: Facilitates individual andgroup therapy counseling sessions.
• Documentation: Completes all clinical documentation accuratelyand objectively.
• Crisis Intervention: Responds promptly and effectively tomental health crises.
• Other duties as assigned: Willingly performs all otherassignments as directed by the superior.
