Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Belton, TX seeks a Senior Director to manage day-to-day operations of the Bell County Jail health services, plan and supervise center activities, and implement policies while overseeing budget and priorities.

This leadership role focuses on nursing, medical, dental, mental health and specialty care oversight, with a strong emphasis on compliance, quality, and collaboration with university departments to ensure timely, high‑quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus six years of progressively responsible management experience OR a combination of education and/or years of experience in management to equal a minimum of 10 years.
• Experience coordinating multi-disciplinary health services and leading large teams.

Major/Essential Functions

• Nursing Oversight - Oversees the nursing functions of a healthfacility, including direct and indirect supervision of a 24-hour,7-day a week health system.
• Medical Care Oversight - Coordinates medical providers'schedule availability and medical services operations to ensurepatients' access-to-care is timely and appropriate.
• Dental Care Oversight - Coordinates dental providers' scheduleavailability and medical services operations to ensure patients'access-to-care is timely and appropriate.
• Mental Health Oversight - Coordinates with mental healthproviders to ensure access to psychiatry services and mental healthcounseling services are timely and appropriate.
• Specialty and Hospital Care Oversight - Establishes and managescare coordination efforts for referrals to specialty care andhospital care. Works with network providers to create mutuallybeneficial care pathways enhancing patients' access to care.
• Financial and Administrative Oversight - Is fully responsiblefor the administrative and operational activities in the healthfacility, including fiscal responsibility, staffing, and ensuringadherence to legal, regulatory, and university requirements.
• Quality and Compliance Oversight - Works with universitydepartments to establish and manage health quality and compliancepractices to ensure high quality patient care, compliance to allrelevant laws, regulations, and policies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience leading multi-disciplinary healthcare facility includingnursing care, primary care, dental care, and specialty carecoordination. Ability to use clinical and business informationsystems for decision support in clinical, operational, andstrategic operations. Skilled in organizational leadership,building strong teams and establishing productive workflows; candemonstrate successful strategies for integrating and overseeingteams with diverse professional backgrounds and from differentdisciplines. Nursing degree and Master's degree in business, healthadministration, or nursing administration preferred.
