Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological evaluations, diagnostic services, and counseling to an assigned inmate caseload.
  • Perform telehealth in clinics as assigned and manage daily documentation by close of business.
  • Coordinate with security and medical staff, and assist in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
  • Complete referrals to mental health providers and ensure accurate, timely reporting.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Inmate risk management.
  • Detection of severe mental illness in all inmateinteraction.
  • General inmate management of severely mentally ill and at riskinmates.
  • Process referrals to the medical and mental healthproviders.
  • Completes referrals to crisis management.
  • Correct and thorough completion of all types of clinicalinterviews. Completes all daily documentation by the close ofbusiness each day.
  • Notify security of Inmate protection investigation (IPI) andinmate threats toward others as instructed by the Safe PrisonsPlan.
  • Processes cancellations of referrals to Behavioral healthfacility (BHF).
  • Assessments written based upon balanced clinicaljudgement.
  • Effectively prioritizing job duties while maintaining riskmanagement as a priority. Maintains monthly productivity numbers asset by Behavioral Health Management Team.
  • Adheres to all policies and standards.
  • Professional growth, development, and utilization ofsupervision.
  • Professionally complete other unit specific tasks, includingsuicide prevention screener and mental health chain inreminders.
  • Performs a various to be determined and assigned by theRegional Manager, Senior Director, Direct Supervisor, ordesignees.
  • Conducts telehealth in clinics as assigned.
  • Ensures all inmate reminders are accurate and complete.
  • If applicable: Facilitate group counseling and treatmentplanning for inpatient or otherwise assigned, inmates.

Visa Information
