Gulf Winds International Inc. seeks a Terminal Manager to oversee the Memphis Terminal operations, including dispatch, driver relations, and KPI-driven performance. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and profitability in a fast-paced intermodal environment.

You will coordinate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, and Sales to optimize service levels for both independent contractors and company drivers, ensuring precise plan execution and continuous process improvements.

Formación

• Experience leading transportation/terminal teams.
• Strong focus on driver relations and retention.
• Ability to manage P&L and margins for a terminal.
• Proven dispatch and scheduling coordination skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance practices.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee day-to-day dispatch operations with the dispatchers and schedulers.
• Set priorities for dispatchers and ensure daily execution of the plan.
• Collaborate with Safety, Driver Recruitment, Customer Service, and Sales to support drivers and customers.
• Manage driver costs and productivity while maintaining service levels.
• Understand GWI dispatch processes to dispatch as needed.
• Oversee volumes, capacity, KPI tracking, yards, and driver needs for partner success.
• Communicate freight needs with the scheduling group and coordinate with M&R as needed.
• Maintain asset tracking and relay needs to management.
• Resolve conflicts between contractors and dispatch per company policies.
• Manage P&L, costs, and margins to increase terminal profitability.
• Participate in onboarding of new Key Account/Contract business.
• Set team expectations to deliver excellent service to drivers and customers.
• Strive for driver retention aligned to transportation operations goals.
• Foster relationships with independent contractors to grow the fleet.
• Promote Operational Excellence focusing on safety and quality.
• Build, coach, and develop the transportation team with succession planning.
• Drive employee engagement to support company mission, vision, and values.
• Monitor quarterly KPI’s to align with company goals.
• Address personnel needs and performance within the team.
• Ensure facilities and supplies are well-maintained and stocked.
